HW and I got engaged over a decade ago, long before it became vogue for the recently affianced to hire a professional photographer to follow you around a municipal park for three hours, posing pictures on rocks and flora. (We got our professional engagement photo taken at J.C. Penney’s, I think.) So we missed out, I guess, on all the hilarity.
That just made my day. Yeah, my day really sucked before that.
Oh my god. That made me twitchy. It’s almost better when they’re that over-the-top awful as opposed to the super-earnest ones that you’re supposed to take seriously. I don’t get how/why anyone would ever subject themselves to that kind of self-flagellatory photo shoot. Erghh, amazing
We got our engagement photos for free with out wedding package. But it turned out that we had those pictures taken only a month before we got married anyway, though we had been engaged awhile. The photographer had many couples to photograph and we all met at the Philadelphia Art Museum, and I suppose, took pictures like the ones in your link. Ours turned out pretty good considering we were hungover and hadn’t had enough sleep.
I do like the funny pictures in the link, we save pictures like that for when we are not on the clock being charged for them.
I don’t know what kind of pictures Rachel likes, but I would love to see some of her self-flagellatory photo shoot, that sounds crazy.
